I lived at The Peak for 3 years near Matilda Hospital! Up in a cloud foggy most of the time. It’s a depressing area in HK. Many people got depression there. Then second depressing place is Park View, bad omen. And too far from the sea.

    2. David W There’s nowhere in US or Canada that’s as expensive as Singapore because Singapore’s cost is driven up artificially. It’s a microstate. The island is the entire country.

  3. Where is the Philippines, and the only Christian majority country in asia with 80% of the people speak english and is a beautiful friendly country!!! Not to mention very affordable to live in.

    1. not in the list, philippines still a developing country, and some of the places here in the philippines are destroyed by the typhoons and 50% muslims.

    1. Jerry Dennis you Philippine think you are the only one speaking English would be the best. Hey get out of your bubble.people know you as the most dangerous country in Asia! Nobody wants to come and retire in the country that got no things provides for retired people probably as a tourist you need to know your people can speak English but country is counted a undeveloped country.

    2. Jerry Dennis If you like constant noise, few laws, no discipline, dogs running free and barking all night, Ferrell cats, and plastic lined streams, heat and humidity….. Then, Philippines is the place for you. The women are lovely and living costs are reasonably low if you watch your wallet and your backside.

    3. I will say best beaches here in the Philippines
      4hundred island
      And so many areas
      3death pool
      4 churcjs

  4. For the first, why just tell the big cities with much crime? Much better in smaller towns. Singapore is Expensive and also Japan and Hong Kong. Thailand is beautiful, but it is a military dictatorship. I am sure there are beautiful places to live at in Malaysia, but why in Kuala Lumpur? There are really high crime rates. Taiwan is a safe and beautiful place. We should also add Philippines, Cambodia and Indonesia (except Aceh). These are cheap and beautiful places to live in. My list should be 1. Philippines 2. Taiwan 3. One of the other i mentioned
